My Loadout (JBertie xD

Primary: ACR 6.8 W/ Red Dot/Kick
Secondary: FMG-9 Akimbo
Lethal: Claymore/C4
Tactical: Tac Insert
Perk 1: Extreme Condt.
Perk 2: Hardline
Perk 3: Steady Aim/Dead Silence
Killstreak: Assault-Predator/Attack Heli/Pavelow or Specialist- Quickdraw/Slight of Hand/ Scavenger
DeathStreak: Juiced/Dead Mans Hand.
This is a really good set-up for Long-Medium Ranged and Close Range.

A lot of people claim that ACR 6.8 with the red dot attachment with focus instead of kick is also a really good combination as well just because if you and a target are having a longer range firefight you have the upper hand by not flinching from their bullets impact on your character.

@kAMo: True. Focus makes a big difference imo. The ACR hardly kicks around for me so engaging targets at longer distances isn't a problem.

The reduced flinch really gives you a huge advantage, keeping your shots on target, helping you to finish the gunfight faster. Also good to conserve ammo if you're not using Scavenger.

I also prefer the Holo Sight with Assault Rifles, but I guess that's mostly a personal preference.

What is up with people and Holo sights? I don't understand what is so great about them, they just seem to get in my way. What is it about them that you like so much?

@kAMo: Well I rarely use a sight attachment on any weapon anyway, unless the iron sights really put me off.

But if I do decide on using a sight attachment proficiency then I choose the Holo Sight because I like the look of the chunky square outline (lol) and I think it has an increased zoom compared to the RDS. (The codwikia says it does anyway)
I guess the ACOG would be better if I want zoom, but I feel like that thing kicks so much.
I think I've only tried the ACOG on the AK-47 so far though.

I'm the opposite with my sniper rifle though. I hate too much zoom and almost always use a variable scope, on the first zoom setting, so I have a better view of my surroundings. (Yup, I can't quickscope)
